A little bit about me
Games have always been a huge part of my life
My love affair with gaming began way back in the 80’s with an Amiga 500. As a kid I’d spend hours playing games like Rainbow Island, Dizzy, Superfrog, The Settlers, Lemmings, and Robocod. Those games shaped my childhood and led to a lifelong passion.
These days, I love losing hours exploring open world games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and experiencing the thrill of going off road in Forza Horizon. Roguelikes and roguelites have also become something of an obsession, and by “something of an obsession,” I mean I co-run an entire website dedicated to them.
Writing has been the other constant in my life. I started freelancing professionally in 2006 and spent much of the next two decades writing health content for some of the world’s leading surgeons, doctors, clinics, and healthcare businesses. It was a career I built from scratch, and one that taught me an enormous amount about research, storytelling, audiences, deadlines, and turning complicated subjects into something people want to read.
Gaming, meanwhile, remained a constant. Somewhere along the way, those two parts of my life started crashing into each other. I began writing about games. Then I began writing more about games. I co-founded AllRogues.com, disappeared increasingly far down the indie gaming rabbit hole, and realized I’d found the kind of work I genuinely couldn’t wait to start each morning.
After almost two decades of writing professionally, it felt like the right time to do something a little unexpected…I went rogue.
Now I write news, reviews, features, guides, deep dives, top 10s, and pretty much anything else that gives me an excuse to talk about games. I love finding the tiny indie release nobody seems to have noticed yet, just as much as diving into the most popular open world games.
It took me nearly 20 years to bring my writing career and my lifelong love of gaming together. Turns out, going rogue was a pretty good idea.

I’m more than a writer. I’m a fellow gamer.
